Cookies

We use cookies on our site. These are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your terminal device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware.

Information is stored in the cookie, which results in each case in connection with the specifically used terminal device. This does not mean, however, that we will immediately become aware of your identity.

The use of cookies serves on the one hand to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognise that you have already visited individual pages on our website. These are automatically deleted after leaving our site.

In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimise user-friendliness, which are stored on your terminal for a specific period of time. If you visit our site again to make use of our services, it is automatically recognized that you have already been with us and which inputs and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.

In addition, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our services for you. These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already visited our site when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.

The data processed by cookies are necessary for the purposes mentioned to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. The complete deactivation of cookies may, however, result in you not being able to use all the functions of our website.

Analysis Tools (Tracking Tools)

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO. With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure that our website is designed in line with requirements and continuously optimised. Furthermore, we use the tracking measures in order to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for you for the purpose of optimising our offer. These interests are to be regarded as justified within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.

-> Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA (“Google”), on our web pages. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (see subitem “Cookies”). The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on these websites, Google’s IP address will be shortened beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating website usage, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services to website operators relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by the customer’s browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. The customer may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on the browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. In addition, the customer may prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to the use of the website (including the IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

As an alternative to the browser add-on or within browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting this data within this website in the future by clicking on this link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). An opt-out cookie is stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click this link again.

-> Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

We also use Google Conversion Tracking to record the use of our website statistically and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our website for you. Google Adwords places a so-called “cookie” (see number 4) on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google advertisement. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on the AdWords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer will be able to tell that the user clicked on the ad and was directed to that page.

Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be traced via the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers will know the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were directed to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that personally identifies users.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse to set a cookie as required, for example by setting your browser to disable the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”. Google’s Privacy Policy for Conversion Tracking can be found here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html).

-> Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences and Facebook Conversion

On our websites we use the so-called Facebook pixel of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or – if you are based in the EU – Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Facebook Pixel is a JavaScript code that is embedded on our website for statistical and market research purposes. This enables Facebook to identify visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of ads (so-called “Facebook ads”).

The Facebook pixel is therefore used to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to Facebook users who have shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products that are determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called “custom audiences”).

In addition, the Facebook pixel allows us to see whether users were referred to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad so that we can check and track the effectiveness of Facebook ads (“conversion”).

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and therefore guarantees compliance with European data protection law:

(https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active)

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in the Facebook Data Usage Guidelines:

https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

Details on how the Facebook pixel works can be found in the Facebook help section:

https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

You may opt out of Facebook pixel collection and use of your information to display Facebook ads. You can also determine your advertising preferences, which specific types of ads you want displayed on Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

Social Media Plug-ins

We use social plug-ins of the following social networks on our website on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO in order to make our website better known. The underlying advertising purpose is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the DSGVO. Responsibility for data protection-compliant operation is to be guaranteed by the respective provider. The integration of these plug-ins by us takes place by means of the so-called two-click method in order to protect visitors to our website in the best possible way.

-> Facebook

Elements of Facebook (so-called Social-Media Plugins) are integrated on our websites in order to make their use more personal. For this we use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button. Facebook is a company of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.

Facebook may use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and tailoring Facebook Pages to your needs. To this end, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services associated with the use of Facebook.

If you do not want Facebook to associate the information collected through our website with your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.

We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we do not have any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook’s data protection information (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).

-> Google Plus

We use the “+1” elements of Google Plus, a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA (“Google”), on our websites. Each time a customer accesses one of our web pages that contains the “+1” element, customer data is transmitted to Google and stored by Google for a period of up to two weeks. This is the data already mentioned above under “Statistical data”. If the customer clicks on the “+1” element while registered and logged in to Google Plus, this information is transmitted to Google, where it is stored in relation to the customer’s profile and made publicly accessible. Further information on the collection, dissemination and use of data by Google can be found on the following website: https://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html.

-> Twitter

On our websites we use functions (so-called plugins) of the short message network Twitter, an offer of Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Twitter”).

You can recognize the Twitter plugins (tweet buttons) by the Twitter logo on our site. An overview of tweet buttons can be found here:

https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons

Each time you access one of our websites that is equipped with such a plugin, the customer’s data is transmitted to Twitter and stored there. This is the data already mentioned above under “Statistical data”. If the customer clicks the Twitter “tweet” button while logged into his Twitter account, the websites he visits are linked to his Twitter account and made publicly accessible. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we are not aware of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Twitter.

If you do not want Twitter to be able to assign visits to our pages, please log out of your Twitter user account.

Twitter is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus guarantees that it complies with EU data protection legislation. https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TORzAAO&status=Active

-> Instagram

Our websites also use social plugins (“plugins”) from Instagram, operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Instagram”). The Instagram plugin can be recognized by the “Instagram” button, for example in the form of an “Instagram camera”.

When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Instagram directly to your browser and integrated into the page. This integration tells Instagram that your browser has accessed the appropriate page on our site, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not logged into Instagram.

This information (including your IP address) is transferred directly from your browser to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can directly associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the “Instagram” button, this information is also sent directly to and stored on an Instagram server.

The information is also published to your Instagram account and displayed to your contacts.

If you do not want Instagram to directly associate the data collected via our website with your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website.

We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we do not have any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram.

This allows LinkedIn to allocate the calling of our websites to your LinkedIn user account.

We have no influence on the data that LinkedIn collects through this, nor on the extent of this data collected by LinkedIn. We also have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted to LinkedIn.
